There are two black sand beaches on Maui, one is the Honokalani beach at Waianapanapa State Park on the way to Hana or an easier one to access is the Oneuli black sand beach at Makena State Park. This beach is best for snorkelers and divers as coral reefs are just right past the water’s entry. It’s not a beach we would recommend for swimming especially with kids but a black sand beach is a must-see on everyone’s list.
