Hurricane Lowell Update
Updated: 9/9/2026 @3:20pm HST
Due to the significant effects of Hurricane Lowell, we are unable to accept new arrivals at our two Kauaʻi properties, Aston Islander on the Beach and Aston at Poʻipū Kai, at this time. We are canceling all existing reservations for stays through September 16, 2026, at these two properties and are not accepting new reservations for this period. Aqua-Aston staff is contacting guests with upcoming reservations.
Both properties are currently without power as islandwide restoration efforts continue. Utility crews are actively working to restore power throughout the island, but unfortunately, we are anticipating impacts for at least 7 days. Our on-site teams continue to monitor conditions and assist guests. These impacts are limited to our Kauaʻi properties. Reservations at our properties on Oʻahu, Maui, and Hawaiʻi Island are unaffected.
As of this update, Līhuʻe Airport has reopened and flights have resumed operations. Airport operations are currently being supported by temporary backup power while utility restoration efforts continue. Travelers are encouraged to check directly with their airline for the latest flight information and operations updates.
Some roadways around Kauaʻi remain largely inaccessible as crews continue to clear affected areas. The availability of restaurants, stores, and other services may be limited in certain areas as recovery efforts continue and normal operations are restored. Conditions continue to evolve, and utility restoration and service availability may vary by location.
We are grateful for the dedication of emergency responders, utility crews, airport personnel, and community members working to restore services across Kauai and throughout Hawaii. Aqua-Aston teams remain on-site and committed to supporting our guests and owners during the recovery process.

Mahalo for your patience and understanding. We look forward to welcoming guests to Hawaii and will continue to provide updates on our operating status on this page as conditions evolve.
