Are there start-up fees to join the Maui Condo and Home rental program?
No. There are no fees required to join Maui Condo and Home. We do require all units to have an electronic Kaba lock system (owned by you and administered by Maui Condo and Home) and professional photography, both of which have a cost. We also ask that there always be a working balance of $500- on your account to cover any costs during the month.
Is there a website designated to Owner Services?
Yes. The owner portal website is for our owners use and provides information and services for our owners. Reservations for owner and their guests can be made on owner portal in real time. Monthly owner statements will be available on the owner portal once processed. The calendar shows an overview of all reservations and the booking summary will provide the details of the reservations.
Does Maui Condo and Home offer Housekeeping and Maintenance services?
Yes. We offer both housekeeping and maintenance through professional contracted vendors. Owners may choose the cleaning company or maintenance service for their unit, if they have a preference, with assistance from Maui Condo and Home. If there is no preference, assignments will be made. Our relationships with a variety of cleaning companies and maintenance services ensures the best options to meet our owners needs. Maui Condo and Home team members inspect all units on the day of arrival to ensure everything is ready for the guest.
Where does Maui Condo and Home advertise?
Marketing and advertising efforts will be found both online and in print, offering traditional vacation rental and traditional condo-tel and hotel booking options. Owners inventory is marketed individually and by complex to give owners utmost exposure, booking, and revenue. Under traditional vacation rental management, we have direct connections to VRBO, HomeAway, Airbnb and other third-party vacation rental distribution platforms. Under traditional condo-tel and hotel management we list our inventory with Expedia, Booking.com, WestJet and other traditional wholesalers. We work with a variety of travel partners and travel agencies. Online advertising includes consistent email marketing, Google AdWords and retargeting ads, and online travel and social sites. Print advertising includes magazines and newspapers in select major cites on the US West Coast and Canada, as well as various travel trade publications.
Are accounting services offered?
Yes. At the beginning of each month we process all revenue for the prior month. Checks and statements are mailed out by the 15th of each month. Statements will post on the owner portal around the 5th of the month. Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) is offered and will process around the 5th of the month. Optionslservice for select utility and AOAO bulls to be paid through Maui Condo and Home. Owners have the option to have Maui Condo and Home process and file Hawaii GET and TAT taxes for an additional fee.
Who can I contact for immediate assistance after normal office hours?
Outside of normal office hours, an after-hours service is provided. Any guest or owner can receive check-in information and emergency maintenance assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. After-hours can be reached directly or by calling our office and following the prompts. Approved vendors will be called out in the case of an in-unit maintenance emergency. The Owner Services Manager or Guest Services Manager will be contacted as needed. Reservations services are also offered after-hours, so potential guests are always able to call to make a reservation.
